How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your account directly from the getmemories app. Follow these steps:

1. Open the getmemories app
2. Go to Profile (bottom right tab)
3. Tap the Settings icon (gear icon, top right)
4. Scroll down and tap Delete Account
5. Confirm the deletion when prompted

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

• Your profile information (name, username, profile photo)
• All your posts and photos
• Your friend connections
• Your group memberships
• Your streak data
• Push notification tokens
• All stored media files (photos, thumbnails)

Timeline

Account deletion is processed immediately. All your data is permanently deleted within 30 days of your request. During this period, your data cannot be recovered.

Data Retention

After account deletion, we do not retain any personal data. Anonymized, aggregated data (such as total user counts) may be kept for analytics purposes but cannot be linked back to you.

Can't Access Your Account?

If you cannot access the app or need help deleting your account, contact us at privacy@getmemories.com with your account email address, and we will process your deletion request manually.
